ZIT is supporting the innovative producer scene in Vienna with its Content Award Vienna.
Entries for this year’s Content Award can be submitted as of June 2011 - at www.contentaward.at!
Digitalization and convergence have fundamentally transformed the media business, media offering and user behavior. New contents, production and commercialization strategies are required. In this respect, the Content Award is not only to be considered as driving the expansion and professionalization of the content offering, but provides exciting insights into a spectrum of high quality, innovative audio-visual contents which have already been produced. Last but not least, the award opens up new opportunities for content producers to commercially exploit their formats and deal with convergent distribution possibilities. In the meantime, the Content Award, in particular the Content Award Conference and Night, has become an important platform for innovative media contents.
Content Award Night
Within the context of the Content Award Night held in the Media Quarter Marx, monetary prizes of EUR 5,000 each are granted in the various categories such as games, applications, animated short films or the open category – the audience prize. The criteria for these categories are continually being modified and adapted to the social and technological as well as local developments. Producers can also submit entries to win the FemPower Special prize, designed to support female producers. Moreover, a series of attractive prizes sponsored by partners (e.g. Wien Holding, Wiener Stadtwerke, WSE, Infoscreen, Vienna Business Agency, Marx Media Vienna, etc.) are also available.
Content Award Conference
Since 2010 the Content Award Conference has been held on the day of the award ceremony. International and national guests and keynote speakers in the fields of games, animation, digital created contents (DCC) and mobile applications provide exciting impulses. Furthermore, the conference also gives the nominees a platform to present their innovative productions to leading experts and establish contacts.
Participation
Individuals as well as companies based in Vienna are entitled to participate. Productions are also accepted which have been primarily developed or produced in Vienna, or which show contents of relevance to Vienna. Participation is free of charge, and is open to both professionals as well as newcomers. The entries are submitted via the Website www.contentaward.at. An international jury of experts evaluates the entries and selects the winners. The audience prize in the open category is determined in the context of audience voting on the Website.
